Spiegare la Sardegna è complicato, anche se questa strofa della famosa canzone "Cuore e Vento" dei Modà sembra coglierne l'essenza. 

Una terra di certezze granitiche ma di forti fragilità, che non va tutelata e protetta solo da chi abita qui, ma anche, e soprattutto, dalla coscienza civica e morale di chi la visita per le vacanze.

Vogliamo quindi darti dei consigli che possano aiutarti a vivere le vacanze in modo assolutamente consapevole.

Explaining Sardinia is complicated, even if this verse from the famous song "Cuore e Vento" by Modà seems to capture its essence.

A land of granite certainties but of strong fragilities, which should not be protected and safeguarded only by those who live here, but also, and above all, by the civic and moral conscience of those who visit it for the holidays.

We therefore want to give you some advice that can help you live your holidays in an absolutely conscious way.

LE DUNE SONO IN PERICOLO: 

Per anni le spiagge e i fondali della Sardegna sono stati defraudati di sabbia, pietre, ciottoli, conchiglie. Per fortuna dal 2017 esistono regole severissime (e multe molto salate) contro questa problematica, ma è importante assumere un atteggiamento consapevole per aiutare a prevenire la sparizione delle dune.

• Scuoti bene gli asciugamani, sciacqua le attrezzature e pulisci bene i piedi e le scarpe prima di andare via dalla spiaggia;
• Non prelevare sabbia, sassi, ciottoli, conchiglie o piante per non accentuare i fenomeni di erosione, oltre che per evitare multe e figuracce!
• Non transitare con automezzi o altri veicoli motorizzati sulla sabbia;
• Non camminare sulle dune, utilizza le passerelle ove presenti o i percorsi già tracciati; 
• Non danneggiare la vegetazione, i ginepri o altre piante presenti in prossimità delle spiagge che sono capaci di intrappolare la sabbia e proteggerle dall'erosione del mare e del vento.
• Tieni pulita la spiaggia, portando via con te i rifiuti. Se fumi, verifica che dove stai andando non sia vientato fumare e, in ogni caso, non abbandonare le cicche sull'arenile.
• Raccogli la plastica che trovi in giro. Con questo gesto potrai dare il buon esempio e salvaguardare la spiaggia e le creature che la popolano. E ricorda: gli atteggiamenti eco sostenibili vengono imitati e quelli sbagliati possono essere corretti.
• Proteggi la tua pelle dal sole con una crema solare resistente all'acqua e non inquinante: oltre a una maggiore protezione e a un minor spreco, eviterai di disperdere sostanze chimiche pericolose e inquinanti soprattutto per i coralli.
• Accetta la spiaggia nella sua naturalità: le alghe che trovi  non sono rifiuti ma piante endemiche parte integrante e fondamentale dell'ecosistema.
• Rispetta la fauna e la flora locale evitando di catturare molluschi, pesciolini o stelle marine, scegliendo attività più rispettose come lo snorkeling.
• Memorizza il numero della Guardia Costiera per ogni evenienza 1530.

THE DUNES ARE IN DANGER:

For years, the beaches and seabed of Sardinia have been defrauded of sand, stones, pebbles, shells. Fortunately, since 2017 there have been very strict rules (and very high fines) against this problem, but it is important to take a conscious attitude to help prevent the disappearance of the dunes.

• Shake out your towels well, rinse your equipment and clean your feet and shoes well before leaving the beach;
• Do not take sand, stones, pebbles, shells or plants to avoid accentuating the erosion phenomena, as well as to avoid fines and embarrassment!
• Do not drive with cars or other motorized vehicles on the sand;
• Do not walk on the dunes, use the walkways where present or the already marked paths;
• Do not damage the vegetation, junipers or other plants present near the beaches and which are capable of trapping the sand and protecting the beaches from erosion by the sea and the wind.
• Keep the beach clean, taking waste away with you. If you smoke, check that the beach you are going to does not prohibit smoking and, in any case, do not leave cigarette butts on the beach.
• Collect the plastic you find on the beach. With this gesture you can set a good example and protect the beach and the creatures that populate it. And remember: eco-sustainable attitudes are imitated and the wrong ones can be corrected.
• Protect your skin from the sun with a waterproof and non-polluting sunscreen: in addition to greater protection and less waste, you will avoid dispersing dangerous and polluting chemicals especially for corals.
• Accept the beach in its naturalness: the algae you find on the beaches are not waste but endemic plants that are an integral and fundamental part of the ecosystem.
• Respect the local fauna and flora by avoiding catching molluscs, small fish or starfish, choosing more respectful activities such as snorkeling.
• Memorize the Coast Guard number just in case 1530.

PIÙ ATTENZIONE, MENO INCENDI! 

Ogni anno, in Sardegna, tremila incendi causano enormi danni all'ambiente e alla fauna, oltre a mettere a rischio la vita umana. Per ridurre il rischio di incendio è sufficiente seguire poche ma importanti regole. Seguile e condividile in famiglia, sui social, a scuola e al lavoro: diffondere queste informazioni è un atto di responsabilità a cui tutti dovremmo contribuire.

1. Cosa può innescare un incendio? Mozziconi di sigaretta, fiammiferi, barbecue e fuochi accesi in aree non attrezzate, strumenti che producono fiamme o scintille, marmitte catalitiche degli automezzi, l'uso del fuoco in difformità dalle Prescrizioni.
2. Cosa fare se vedi un incendio? Dai subito l'allarme chiamando il numero verde gratuito 1515 del Corpo Forestale e di Vigilanza Ambientale.
3. Qual è il periodo più ad elevato rischio di incendi? Dal 1° Giugno al 31 Ottobre.
4. Ricorda di consultare il Bollettino di previsione di pericolo di incendio sul sito sardegnaprotezionecivile.it

MORE ATTENTION LESS FIRES!

Every year, in Sardinia, three thousand fires cause enormous damage to the environment and wildlife, as well as putting human life at risk. To reduce the risk of fires, it is sufficient to follow a few but important rules. Follow them and share them with your family, on social media, at school and at work: spreading this information is an act of responsibility that we should all contribute to.

1. What can start a fire? cigarette butts, matches, barbecues and fires lit in unequipped areas, tools that produce flames or sparks, catalytic converters on vehicles, the use of fire in violation of the Provisions.
2. What to do if you see a fire? Raise the alarm immediately by calling the toll-free number 1515 of the Forestry and Environmental Surveillance Corps.
3. What is the period with a high risk of fires? From 1 June to 31 October.
4. Remember to consult the Fire Danger Forecast Bulletin on the website sardegnaprotezionecivile.it
